Moving On
Is there another way to live than day-by-day starting over with a mentality of 'moving on' from what's been before? It sure gets old. And a lifetime of new starts certainly is a downer. I hope I get to stop one day. Stop and smell the continuity. I know it's there for other people. Is there, period; I am just not in the groove. I am not attached. Ironic, I guess Alanis would say, that I am so attached to life that I can't feel any attachments. I give. White flag. Capture the flag. Remember playing Capture the Flag? I do. The older kids my uncle's age would let me play. Home base was the fishpond. My grandpa built a concrete fishpond on the hill next to the driveway, shaped like a boat, it was. That's what you get with a grandpa who has a cement mixer parked in the yard.
