Friday

Greetings from 2006

Well here it is, January 13 (Friday!), 2006. By way of update, I'm in my first week of classes back at good ol' WSU, this time with a full-steam-ahead plan for an MSW in April of 2009. Good lord, that sound so "future." So be it. In the meantime, I'm working on my PMP (Project Management Professional) certification in the realm of Day Job. It's a busy time. I am reminded this week of full-time work and three classes so far (fourth tomorrow morning, Saturday) of the relative comfort that comes with always having something prescribed to do with my time. Also, the exhaustion, slight bronchitis, bad diet, and messiness of house and vehicle.

Looking forward to this, though. It feels very good to be working toward things. Having earned those letters -- PMP and MSW -- will feel mighty fine.

Check out how big my nieces are now. Almost two. Have I ever even posted about them? Seems like years since I've touching the plumbing. They're amazing, those neices. Being an aunt feels like cheating, it's so nice.
