There's a lot of sludge masquerading as my swimming surface in writing. All the resistance I feel when I want to write; it's a reaction to the sludge. I am itchy and reactionary in the polluted waters, and blame my own skin. Instead, I need to see what is there, and dive down deep enough to feel myself come alive in buttery cold waters.
